CIMS™- CIMS™ is a turnkey carbon accounting system that enables organizations to optimize their greenhouse gas impact across the entire supply chain. With CIMS™, tracking and monitoring carbon mitigation efforts becomes a simple and integral part of the management process.
The foundation for taking action on climate is a meaningful information base that begins with a quantifiable aggregate view of the major contributors to green house gas pollution for the total enterprise including external supply chain operations. Current popular methods for calculating green house gas footprints utilize a bottom-up analysis. These methods are costly, must be limited in scope, and are not easily updated.
CIMS™ is based on advanced hybrid assessment techniques that provide a comprehensive, top-down, cradle-to-gate view of your carbon footprint.
CIMS™ integrates existing ERP and supply chain management systems with the carbon accounting system to generate periodic comprehensivecarbon footprint reports. CIMS™ carbon footprint reports incorporate both enterprise level and external supply chain operations, including raw material inputs, product manufacturing, marketing, sales and administration functions. Because it is an integrated extension to existing systems, CIMS™ enables management to cost effectively develop and implement an intelligent carbon mitigations strategy, and continuously monitor progress of the strategy.
Extended Services
Carbon Offset Advisory (COA) – Since carbon offsets are controversial, complex and changing, our COA service is designed to help you determine which, if any, carbon offsets should be part of your emissions reduction strategy. We help you determine appropriate selection criteria and standards with which to make your investments and help you evaluate specific offset offerings. Finally, we’ll help you document those decisions for communication with any concerned stakeholders. And unlike many other offset advisors, we are independent, having no interest or affiliation with any actual offset provider.
Climate Earth Visions (CEV) – As you embrace the challenge of climate change and begin to reduce your impact, you and your organization are likely to become acutely aware of the magnitude of the problem. Unlike most all other problems we deal with in life, global warming is one of immense magnitude and proportion: it impacts the entire planet and all life, and will most likely not be solved in our lifetimes. Climate Earth Visions is a workshop to help you gain perspective on the enormity global warming. This workshop guides your team to develop a capacity to engage creatively with such large, complex issues and make connections with others wishing to creatively advance the state of thinking on climate change solutions.
